लग्न क्या है और क्यों ज़रूरी है?What is the lagna and why does it matter?

लग्न वह राशि है जो आपके जन्म के समय पूर्वी क्षितिज पर उदय हो रही थी। पूरी कुंडली के भाव इसी से गिने जाते हैं, इसलिए जन्म का सही समय सबसे ज़रूरी जानकारी है — लग्न हर लगभग दो घंटे में बदल जाता है।The lagna is the sign rising on the eastern horizon at your birth. Every house in the chart is counted from it, which is why an accurate birth time matters most — the lagna changes roughly every two hours.

जन्म समय ठीक से पता न हो तो क्या करें?What if I don't know my exact birth time?

अनुमानित समय से भी ग्रहों की राशि और नक्षत्र लगभग सही आते हैं, पर भाव और लग्न बदल सकते हैं। ऐसे में चंद्र राशि पर आधारित पाठ ज़्यादा भरोसेमंद रहता है। समय बताता है कि कौन-सा निष्कर्ष समय पर निर्भर है और कौन-सा नहीं।With an approximate time the planets' signs and nakshatras are still close to right, but the houses and lagna can shift. A Moon-sign-based reading is more reliable then. Samay marks which conclusions depend on the time and which do not.

In the Vimshottari system a 120-year cycle is divided among nine planets — 20 years for Venus, 19 for Saturn, and so on. Your first dasha is set by your birth nakshatra.

क्या कुंडली से नौकरी का समय पता चलता है?Can a chart tell me when I'll get a job?

कुंडली से यह पढ़ा जाता है कि कौन-सी अवधि प्रयास के लिए अनुकूल है — दसवें भाव और उसके स्वामी की दशा, गुरु का गोचर। पर यह गारंटी नहीं है कि अमुक तारीख़ को नौकरी मिलेगी। समय अवधि बताता है, तारीख़ नहीं बेचता।A chart shows which periods favour effort — the dasha of the 10th house and its lord, Jupiter's transit. It is not a guarantee that a job arrives on a given date. Samay describes periods; it does not sell dates.

आठवाँ भाव क्या बताता है?What does the 8th house mean?

It does not read it as lifespan or death; that is a hard rule.

वर्षफल उस क्षण की कुंडली है जब सूर्य हर वर्ष आपकी जन्म-स्थिति पर लौटता है — यानी आपके जन्मदिन के आसपास। यह आने वाले बारह महीनों का अलग चार्ट देता है, जो जन्म कुंडली के ऊपर पढ़ा जाता है, उसकी जगह नहीं।Varshphal is the chart for the moment the Sun returns to its birth position each year — around your birthday. It gives a separate chart for the twelve months ahead, read on top of the birth chart rather than instead of it.
